Ways to help

Our supporters help us with food, time and dollars.

Food

We have three annual food drives -- spring, summer and fall. (Food just pours in around Christmas.) Most London grocery stores have bins for dropping off food donations year round. If you are interested in holding a food drive, we have an information package, in PDF format, designed for schools and businesses or organizations .

Time

A typical week sees 200 people volunteering at the food bank. Students, seniors, families with young children, persons with disabilities, unemployed people looking to give something back -- all pitch in and help. See the contact information page for hours. (Groups account for half our volunteers, and we make evening hours available for them. Give us a call to book a time.)

Dollars

Individuals, businesses and groups give us money -- about a quarter million dollars last year. You can print the donation form on this Web site and mail it to us with your cheque. (Some individuals remember us in their will. Let us know if you'd like to learn more about this.)

Environment-friendly gift wrap is available through the London Food Bank for a donation of $2.00 per roll. With your artistic abilities and our gift wrap, your gifts will be enjoyed and the wrapping can be recycled.

For those who are looking for excellent packing paper, whether for moving or storage, or for those who need paper for their children to draw or paint on, we offer newsprint end rolls for $2.00 each.

The amount of paper on each roll will vary, but your $2.00 donation per roll will always help the London Food Bank.

Which way is best for you to support our work?
